Never say you can’t build something.
He built a stroller out of the rings today, all by himself (as he likes to point out). I admiringly pointed to the top and asked if it was a handle. “This is a sunshade, and this is the handle, daddy.” Then we proceeded to build our car out of rings, because he wanted to put the stroller in the back and go for a hike. And though the stroller was bigger than the car, it snapped onto the back and away we went.
He makes me see how unencumbered the imagination can be. But when K and I were getting served “tea” at the playground (gravel), he knowingly looked up at us with a grin and said, “it’s not real…”
