Haven’t seen one of these on a hike for awhile — the kids were giggly and ecstatic.

Rapids soccer game

Filed under: Theodore — mike @ 12:21 am

Last Rapids game of the season, and Theodore’s first time seeing a professional team play. We knew a storm front was on its way, but the first half of the game was positively balmy. Just as the second half kicked off, an icy wind streamed through the stadium corner where this picture was taken, and bits of paper everywhere went flying. We bundled up, but neither we nor the other soccer family that we came with could manage to stick it out to the end. Just as well — we missed a last minute Salt Lake goal that decided the game, 1-0.

Go Pythons!

Six game season, YMCA girls and boys league. He expressed an interest in playing (and he’s dribbled around a lot during recess at school), and I think he had a good experience overall.

My Father’s Day present… Kris, Theodore and Zeke each painted a pot, and then the fourth was for group handprints. Kris then potted four new flowering plants. Thanks, guys!
